Queen City of the Philippines celebrating its biggest and most wide festival here in the entire Cebu. People from different races have been embracing this unusual event for their individual beliefs. Cebuano's are sticky devoted to Senior Sto. Nino, the protector of the believers and non believers. In fact, we are get united , connected and acquainted for his love because it dictates us through our faith and devotion to him. January 15 is the exact date of the occasion where all the presentations, parades, and all eye catches displays are being shown; the Sinulog dance contest, ramps of different known artists and specially the fireworks displays that no one aims to miss. Numerous people get along in the church, in the sidewalks, and in a long way who occupied the entire Cebu that makes it limited space, rain or shine Cebuano's are still eager to pursue the said sacrifices no matter what it takes no matter how it brings as long as their presence link to contribute in that event.
In the real sense people are enjoying the said celebration but in the other side of it some people are doing monkey business like snatching, tricking people etc. doing negative things, grabbing opportunities for them to gain something and those are part of their living. Sinulog festival is a religious prestige, cheerful event but spiritually connected yet it has a sort negative aspect done by our fellow man since they are blinded by their wrong doing and way of living.
Sinulog festival is very known, a broad celebration consist of mixed aspect between human and spirit, it is created for the unitedness of all Cebuanos without hatred but pure love. Love is the center of the celebration, because if there's no love there's no peace , if there's no peace there's no unity , if there's no unity there's no harmony at all. Cebuano's must have to adapt the symbol of peace for better living, and the only weapon to define that symbol is only prayer.
Senor Sto. Nino shield us and lay your swords on us, protect us in every insanity, temptations and failures save us o dear child of Jesus, and I hope this event will still continue to its extent not only for the Cebuano's but in the whole content of the earth , and love must be the center of everything , nothing more nothing less.

My First Foreign Interface
First week of the year dated January 7, 2012, I encountered new friend, a nice Korean friend who leaves smiles in my memory. And that was my first foreign interface.Saturday morning Mr. Jason Patalinghug was our first subject teacher and he told us that we were going to meet Korean students who studied English here in CTU. As I hear those words a mixed emotion rambled into my whole being. I don’t know what to do and I don’t know what to say I am frozen, but then later my courage started to build-up since Mr. Patalinghug gave me a partner whom I can be with.
Choi Sang Jun was our new Korean friend and we called him June as his English name. He is twenty years old born on January 21, 1991. He loves to play badminton as his sports, and he has three brothers including him and he was the second born. He stays here in the Philippines just a week before we had met for he wants to study English language. He wants to explore the different views owned by our country, indeed he loves to live here in Philippines not just it has a nice places but the individual personality of the Filipinos. To have those words is our pride, and it makes me pause for a while to realize the status of our country. Yes, it’s true we don’t have those material things owned by other countries but we have the real treasure that can never be bought nor sold, it’s our culture and values. As our conversation goes I found him not comfortable in dealing his words it was carefully worded and he finds difficulty when it comes to spelling, pronunciation, diction as well as the proper usage of pronoun. He was the one who conducted the interview but still we guided him in doing it. After the task I thought that was over but as they presented it in front together with their Korean classmates they introduce us in front individually.
And I am very thankful that once in my life history I encountered Korean friend who brought smiles in my heart in an expected day.
